Gen Z and Millennial shoppers will be key to holiday shopping success. We’re on the brink of holiday shopping season, and according to Deloitteβs latest data, 18-45-year-olds will account for half of holiday spending for the first time ever. They report that younger shoppers will be responsible for the 4% increase in U.S. holiday spending over last year, with those under 45 planning to increase spending by double digits compared to 2025. (It should be noted that the main reason shoppers plan to spend more is that prices are higher, though.) Gen Z and Millennials are also more likely than older shoppers to say they plan to buy themselves holiday gifts. βTis the season for little treats! YPulseβs own holiday shopping research also shows that 57% of holiday shoppers are excited to holiday shop, and 74% of 13-39-year-olds look for sales and deals before buying holiday gifts.
