Speaking of music festivals, Vodafone is making family check-ins more fun. New research from telecommunications company Vodafone shows that for nearly a third (29%) of 16-18-year-olds, 2026 marks their first time attending a festival without their family. And despite the fact that 92% of parents and guardians trust their kids to make good decisions at festivals, 65% still feel nervous about them attending and 74% spend the festival weekend eagerly awaiting updates. But to make those all-important check-ins easier for attendees, Vodafone launched its first-ever “Check-in & Chips” activation, where young festivalgoers can write and record a message to send home and earn chips afterward. It’s the company’s attempt at giving parents peace of mind without taking young people out of the festival experience. (The National)
