BÉIS hosted a three-day luggage pop-up event in New York City. This weekend, Shay Mitchell’s brand showed up in NYC, where current owners could bring in selected pre-loved BÉIS bags in exchange for 20% off a new product. The pop-up had an interactive archive displaying some of the brand’s most-loved designs, starting from original bags to BÉIS’ newest iterations, and exhibits showing the evolution of tests and changes made to the bags over the years. (Transparency and trust go hand in hand for Gen Z!) The pop-up also included a charm bar and upcycling workshops, as well as complimentary embroidery on bags and an editorial-style portrait setup for visitors. YPulse data shows Gen Z is interested in trading in used items—especially in exchange for discounts on new items, rather than getting paid for them. (Time Out)
