Victoria’s Secret is winning over Gen Z and seeing a surge in sales. The lingerie brand reported its first-quarter net sales were $1.56B today, a 15% increase from last year. According to the brand, young consumers had a lot to do with that number exceeding investors’ expectations. CEO Hillary Super said that improvements to its bra fits and expansion into more product options like bralettes and unlined silhouettes created loyalty among Gen Z shoppers. Additionally, it has expanded its retail footprint lately and even launched a PINK storefront in NYC just three weeks ago. YPulse knows that Victoria’s Secret and PINK were both among Gen Z female’s top cool brands last year, and holding that identity may come from innovation on signature products and stores without losing its glam aesthetic.
