European Gen Z is investing way more into their weddings than previous gens. YPulse predicted 2026 would mark the peak of Gen Z’s wedding obsession, and new research from Deichmann shows we couldn’t have been more spot on. European Gen Z’s weddings are becoming multi-event experiences, packed with content opportunities, aesthetic moments, and multiple outfit changes. The survey shows Gen Z couples (those born after 1996) are more likely than older gens to host bridal / groom showers (45%), engagement parties (49%), rehearsal dinners (24%), and day after celebrations (34%). And they’re putting up some serious cash to make sure their big day feels perfect: married Gen Z reportedly spent around £600 more on wedding outfits than the average couple. Much of this appears to be tied to social media’s influence on wedding culture, with 82% of Gen Z respondents saying they felt pressured to look perfect on their wedding day. (The Sun)
