Kellogg’s is bringing back toys in cereal boxes after more than 10 years. In one of the most nostalgic moves of 2026, Kellogg’s is celebrating the release of Toy Story 5 by putting playable toys back inside popular cereals like Frosted Flakes and Froot Loops. The special edition boxes are meant to bring back the magic of surprise toys during childhood breakfast—especially for Millennial and Gen Z parents who want to share a piece of that nostalgia with their kids. Kellogg’s also plans to bring a giant Toy Story claw machine to The Grove in Los Angeles at the end of May, adding to the interactive nature of this campaign. (And certainly giving Gen Z something to go take pictures with!) YPulse data shows that the majority of Gen Z teens, young adults, and Millennials alike are fans of the Toy Story franchise—it’s even young adults’ favorite—so Kellogg’s is tapping into the hearts of every age group.
