Prediction markets are betting on young women as an audience.

Mar 30 2026

Prediction markets are betting on young women as an audience. While sports betting has largely remained a male-driven obsession even as betting apps soar in popularity, the viral catch-all prediction platforms are looking to win over young women. These sites are now offering bets on everything from who’ll be a bridesmaid at Taylor Swift’s wedding to which stars will appear on the Call Her Daddy podcast. And late last year, online communities like Polymarket’s @polybaddies and Kalshi’s @kalshigirls popped up on X with posts designed to attract young female users. The strategy seems to be working: WSJ reports women now make up 26% of Kalshi users, doubling from 13% just 10 months ago. Still, experts caution that while prediction markets may feel empowering to young women, their gambling luck isn’t guaranteed to last. (The Independent)
