The KPop Demon Hunters hype is not over. Love for Netflix’s most popular film ever is inspiring a new wave of travel to Korea, with Trip.com data showing that global flights to Seoul increased 25% in the three months after the movie was released. Of course, Korean culture was already popular, especially among Gen Z who have embraced K-beauty and K-pop around the world. But South Korea welcomed a record number of foreign tourists in 2025, and the government has reported the surge was “fueled by the KPop Demon Hunters craze,” as fans visit to experience the same things their animated idols did in the movie, from spas to medical clinics to traditional neighborhoods. And now (in the least surprising news of 2026 so far), the KPop Demon Hunters sequel is officially in development, and the film has officially won two Oscars—which means Gen Z’s interest in Korean travel and culture will surely continue.
