Chicken Shop Date is taking the wheel in a new F1 series. Formula 1 is teaming up with host Amelia Dimoldenberg for Passenger Princess, a four-part YouTube series where she’ll learn to drive with F1 stars like George Russell, Oscar Piastri, and Ollie Bearman. And it’s not out of the blue: her previous interview date with F1’s Lando Norris alone pulled 4.4M views. The series mixes her viral awkward humor with F1’s high-speed chaos, creating a bridge between the fandoms they each have. As is, F1 has a growing young fanbase, with 43% of its 853M fans under 35-years-old. Hosting the show on her own YouTube channel also signals a shift toward creator-first storytelling that Gen Z trusts most, and brings a feeling of authenticity to the show. Plus, with Gen Z becoming known for putting off getting their own license, learning to drive late will be surprisingly relatable—even if they won’t learn from their idols.
