KPop Demon Hunters is hitting Fortnite, obviously. The collab is fully immersive, complete with a new Demon Rush mode where fans can play as HUNTR/X members, themed emotes, and limited-time quests running through November. The move connects two major Gen Z fan bases, Fortnite’s 400M+ players and KPop Demon Hunters’ growing global audience of 300M viewers and counting. And, of course, it’s exactly the way Gen Z is already engaging with entertainment brands, especially as more license out their IP to games and even indie developers. Within hours of the trailer drop, the hashtag #KPopDemonHuntersFortnite hit over 12M TikTok views, with fans calling it “the best collab since Ariana’s Rift Tour.” The integration mirrors Gen Z’s expectation that fandoms show up across platforms, and the trend of streaming IPs becoming interactive, not just something they watch or shop.
