Facebook is integrating AI into dating for finding users’ type. YPulse data shows that a strong majority of 18-24-year-olds feel dating is harder now than in the past, which helps explain why 22% are open to AI-powered features in dating apps, from writing bios to practicing conversations. Apps like Tinder are already testing AI tools like the “Game Game,” which let users practice flirting with a bot in playful rom-com scenarios. Now, Facebook Dating is adding a chatbot “dating assistant” that finds matches based on prompts describing who users want to meet or polishes their profile, and “Meet Cute,” a weekly auto-match system. For Gen Z, getting advice from AI is just another tool to make dating less intimidating, so brands are banking on it to end their swipe fatigue. (The Verge)
