Dancing with the Stars has gone from mom’s guilty-pleasure to TikTok-worthy.

Sep 23 2025

Dancing with the Stars has gone from mom’s guilty-pleasure to TikTok-worthy. Once fueled by C-listers and dad jokes, DWTS is now packing its cast with viral influencers, prime-time athletes, and reality stars younger viewers actually care about. The pros—once backup players—are also stealing the spotlight, amassing millions of followers and turning into influencers themselves (Daniella Karagach and Jenna Johnson, anyone?). The shift to Disney+ gave the show a glow-up, too, even after a flip-flop back to cable—think edgier choreography, Top 40 soundtracks, same-sex pairings, and plenty of meme-able moments. Add in steamy showmances, Reddit debates, and Instagram stan pages, and it’s suddenly campy-cool instead of cringe. With fan-favorite judges, beloved pros, and a buzzy new cast, DWTS might have finally found its new groove. (Glamour)
