A Target employee is going viral for exposing products with no prices.

Sep 17 2025

A Target employee is going viral for exposing products with no prices. Though a risky move to make in uniform, TikToker @kaitlinsonday posted about being instructed to rip off price tags from clothing or other items. She and other sources note this appears to be a practice at Walmart as well—at both, only for in-house labels—potentially shedding light on a bigger trend. Walmart does admit to some individual items lacking price tags in favor of markers on shelves or racks, but some feel this just means the brands can change prices without customers ever knowing. Commentors on the viral post are both confirming this at their local stores and speculating why it’s happening, whether because of constantly-changing tariffs or as Kaitlin posed, simply a strategy to take advantage of that assumption.
