Carlo Acutis, a 15-year-old who died in 2006, is now the Catholic Church’s first Millennial saint. Known as “God’s influencer,” Acutis used his tech skills to create a website cataloging miracles in the early days of the internet, and the Church credits him with two miracles since his death. Over 80K people attended the ceremony last Sunday in St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican. Acutis’ canonization is a big deal because it’s the first time someone born in the ‘90s is made a saint—meaning the next gen of Catholic believers have a more relatable role model for their faith.
