The Y2K kid’s edutainment brand Noggin is coming back as an independent gaming and streaming app. This new version, led by former CEO Kristen Kane, is aimed at kids 5-12-years-old and will roll out in three phases: a virtual world with hobby-based mini-games, a streaming hub with licensed and original content, and eventually real-life experiences like clubs and workshops. Designed to blend fun with skill-building, Noggin’s games will once again encourage hands-on learning while its content covers topics like cooking, fashion, and music. With YPulse data showing 91% of young parents want educational value from apps, Noggin is positioning itself as a go-to platform in kids edutainment for another generation. (Kidscreen)
