The upcoming NBA 2K26 video game will integrate WNBA Player Cards for the first time. Earlier this year, YPulse told you young people’s interest in women’s sports is heating up—young sports fans are +5pts more likely to watch women’s sports this year compared to last year, bringing viewership to a majority (55%). Now, the NBA 2K series is capitalizing on this interest by allowing players to collect WNBA Player Cards. Gamers will soon be able to pair WNBA and NBA players on the same team using MyTeam mode, which lets players build their own teams and compete with friends. YPulse data also shows NBA 2K is already a top ten favorite sports league for 18-24-year-old and 25-39-year-old males, so integrating female athletes could open it to even more fans. (Complex)
