Brands are immediately making memes in response to Taylor Swifts new album announcement. Swift announced her upcoming 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, earlier this week on Travis and Jason Kelce’s New Heightspodcast. And seeing as YPulse data shows Swift is young people’s number one favorite music artist, it’s no surprise they were quick to react to the news—and brands followed suit. The album cover features the title in orange, sparkly letters, so the memes obviously included plenty of orange references. One user reacted with an image of two Suite Life on Deckcharacters dressed in fluffy, orange showgirl wear with the caption “how I’m showing up to the tour.” Meanwhile brands like Google celebrated with a search result that brought on orange confetti paired with Swift lyrics, while X even remade its logo in glittery orange. Everyone from Dunkin to Scrub Daddy has joined in, and no doubt the hype will continue when the album drops. (Billboard)
