Gen Z is traveling to find love. According to the online travel agency Priceline, Gen Z singles are 74% more likely than other gens to “have researched the best travel destinations for meeting new people.” They say the young gen is “flocking to find romance” by traveling in order to find someone outside their typical pool, ditching dating apps and pursuing their dreams of having an in-person meet-cute. Priceline data shows Gen Z is 37% more likely than other gens to meet new people overall while traveling for leisure, too. And it makes sense—YPulse’s Travel reportshows 75% of 18-24-year-olds say they like meeting new people while traveling, and 61% are even interested in a romantic vacation fling. Plus, YPulse’s Dating & Relationships report shows 75% of 18-24-year-olds agree, “Dating is more difficult now than it was in the past,” so changing up the scenery might be the reset they need.
