Coach plans to open more “Coach Coffee Shops” inside its stores to attract Gen Z. From drugstore beauty brands to luxury fashion retailers, everyone seems to be getting in on the “little treat” action and offering their customers a literal taste of their brand. Just last week, YPulse reported that more brands are using coffee in their marketing thanks to Gen Z. It’s a must-have treat for many: our data shows that takeout coffee is a small splurge 32% of 18-24-year-old women and 17% of 18-24-year-old men say they’ll never give up. Now, Coach—who’s already been having an It-girl moment with Gen Z—is seriously capitalizing on this trend. While there are already in-store cafes in New Jersey and Texas, the brand says it will open more than 20 Coach Coffee Shops in the next year. According to Coach, their goal is to increase “linger” time among young consumers, and since coffee is at a low price point, they want them to “be able to hang out and think about [Coach] for their first purchase in the future.” (BoF)
