A new viral TikTok series is helping young adults rediscover the art of meeting people in real life. As Gen Z navigates dating anxiety, creator Ellie Williams’ series offers both inspiration and practical direction. In “Where men on the street go out in NYC,” she conducts spontaneous street interviews and turns them into a guide for offline connections by asking men across the city their name, age, job, and go-to bar. Currently, YPulse data shows only 13% of 18-24-year-olds have met a partner at a bar or party, while 44% met someone on social media—but young people are loving the content as they crave authenticity and romance beyond their screens. As of now, she’s released more than 50 videos, a map of nearly 100 bar recommendations, and in-person events are already underway. (USA Today)
