Gen Z is bringing back the ANTM “go-see outfit” when they don’t know what to wear. Young people are taking fashion advice from America’s Next Top Model with the aughts era “go-see outfits”—a.k.a a neutral tank or t-shirt, fitted jeans, and basic shoes like heels or flats. In the show, the “go-see” look was meant for the challenge of models visiting multiple agencies or designers in a short span of time. In order to show off their features and essentially appear as blank canvases, the specific, simple outfit was created. Now, the iconic model uniform has turned into Gen Z’s latest TikTok fashion trend, and many are going viral for their best takes. While they’re not attending castings themselves, they love the intentional, but quick to pair look for the confidence it gives them and they’re wearing it everywhere from classrooms to running errands.
