Are magazines making a comeback with kids? While screen time doesn’t seem to be going anywhere for young, plugged-in kids, YPulse data shows 72% of Millennial parents say they’re concerned about how much time their children spend on devices. That’s why many are turning to new magazines like Anyway, Kazoo, and Spark—not as a complete replacement to tech devices, but as a way to offer something different to their children. These publications feature content kids and tweens actually care about, like developing personal style, puzzles, comics, science, and even understanding puberty. They’re fun, colorful, creative, and give kids a reason to unplug—at least for a little while—and some kids’ magazines are seeing tens of thousands of paid subscribers. (Fast Company)
