Gen Z can’t stop talking about TikTok’s viral “princess treatment.”

Jul 09 2025

Gen Z can’t stop talking about TikTok’s viral “princess treatment.” ICYMI, content creator Courtney Palmer (@courtney_joelle) recently went viral for what “princess treatment” looks like in her relationship. In her most viewed video (7.3M views), she talks about how she acts at a restaurant, basically saying she leaves everything up to her husband and doesn’t speak to the hostess or waitress herself: “You’re just letting your husband lead and be masculine. He made the reservation, he’s taking you out—let him do the logistics. You’re just being a princess,” she says in the video. Many Gen Z users took to TikTok to post their responses to Palmer’s videos, and in true Gen Z fashion, it was a mix of comedy and critique. Some dressed up as hostesses pretending to interact with Palmer who won’t speak to them, while others commented on how a true princess would treat waitstaff with respect and kindness.
