Yahoo is continuing their chase for Gen Z and Millennials with AI and a merch collab. According to its internal data, almost half of Yahoo Mail users are Gen Z or Millennials, 70% of whom check their email multiple times a day, and 50% say they’ve missed important events due to a messy inbox. That’s why Yahoo created a new AI feature, “Catch Up,” to give users a way to get through emails in seconds—a tool that’s reportedly the first of its kind. The AI gives summaries of long emails, scan email previews, and provides the option to delete or keep emails in users’ inboxes using a “game-like experience” (although the exact details of this “gamification” haven’t been released). To celebrate the new feature, Yahoo teamed up with Gen Z-loved streetwear brand Anti Social Social Club on a collection called “Anti Email Email Club,” and tapped Millennial comedian Morgan Jay for its campaign video.
