In addition to the protein craze, dairy is popular again, too. Just last week, YPulse reported on young people’s growing obsession with protein in efforts to look “skinny toned.” Now, classic dairy products are being rebranded as high-protein, gut-healthy superfoods, with products like probiotic ice creams, flavored kefirs, and prebiotic butters lining shelves. Raw milk has also taken on cult status in wellness circles, especially among “Make America Healthy Again” followers. From fitness influencers to conservative homemakers and even Gwyneth Paltrow, dairy is making its way on to young people’s feeds. However, YPulse data shows young people haven’t totally ditched alternative milks—23% of 18-24-year-olds say they drink plant-based milk regularly and 26% say they are interested in trying them. So while dairy is gaining popularity, alternative milks aren’t completely out in the eyes of young people. (Business Insider)
