Created by Berkeley dropouts Allen Wang and Eric Liu, this platform eliminates swiping and awkward text exchanges by having AI handle the entire matchmaking process. After users create profiles detailing their preferences, interests, and deal-breakers, Ditto’s algorithm simulates a thousand possible dates to determine best pairings. When it finds a match, it even arranges the meeting time, location, and suggests conversation starters. With nearly 10K users across Berkeley, UC San Diego, and San Jose State, the app appeals to time-strapped students who want to bypass traditional dating app frustrations.
