Young Brits may be spiritually curious, but they’re not turning to religion. A new Bible Society report claims a surprising rise in church attendance among 18–24-year-olds, from 4% to 16% between 2018-2024. But despite the increase, 84% of young people say they aren’t churchgoers. While 45% of young people report increased belief in “some higher power”—up from 28% in 2018—this doesn’t necessarily translate to traditional religious practice. Young Brits appear to be searching for meaning and connection, but not necessarily through organized religion. (Humanists UK)
