Young Europeans are finding themselves in the middle of a divided political landscape. A recent survey of 18-35-year-olds across five EU countries found that the majority see politicians, social media, and traditional media as the “central forces fracturing society.” It also found that these political conversations tend to happen in close circles: in France, Italy, and Germany, over 65% of young adults say they mostly discuss politics with friends, while those in Denmark stand out with 49% leaning on their parents instead. Additionally, political alignment with friends is strongest in Germany (75%) and weakest in Denmark (50%). Despite these differences, young adults across all five countries agree on one thing: better education is the top solution for reducing societal division. (Euro News)
