Does audio really still rule Gen Z’s podcast habits? Although Gen Z divides their attention across various streaming and social platforms, some surveys show their podcasts habits remain rooted in audio—and that Spotify is still their go-to platform. Transistor.fm reports 76% of Gen Z primarily consume audio-only podcasts, even as platforms push video formats. (Which is working incredibly well, with YouTube reporting a billion monthly podcast watchers.) With YouTube and TikTok pushing video podcasts’ popularity, creators will likely want to embrace both formats to keep up with Gen Z’s habits. (Radio Ink)
