This year, Gen Z is pursuing travel experiences for more than the pics. Unlike Millennials, who coined “fear of missing out,” the younger gen is adopting a “joy of missing out” mindset. They’re less focused on visiting trendy, Instagram-worthy, bucket-list destinations others have been to and are instead looking for new, more meaningful experiences. While they enjoy sharing their travels on social media, they prefer to explore lesser-known places, avoiding the usual tourist traps. Some other trends among young travelers that may increase this year include solo adventures, backpacking, and luxury hotel stays, as well as unique experiences such as staying in old fashioned inns (which we also told you about this week).
