Twenty-something workers are experiencing higher stress levels at work than ever before. A recent study by MetLife found that 21-25-year-olds have seen a noticeable decline in their overall “holistic health,” which includes mental, physical, financial, and social wellness. Since last year, these young workers have reported increased feelings of stress, depression, burnout, and isolation. And from 2020 to 2024, the percentage of these workers who feel “holistically healthy” has fallen –12pts. When compared to this age group in 2018, when it was made up of Millennials, Gen Z workers feel less successful, less happy, less engaged, and more overwhelmed and anxious. The gap in holistic health between Gen Z and Boomers—the healthiest generation at work—has now also widened to -26pts, also higher than previous years. (Inc.)
