Resale is the side hustle business for teens. A recent Whop survey found that 400K teens (12-18-year-olds) are selling secondhand items on online marketplaces, with the majority focused on clothing resale. Platforms like Vinted are growing popular for this seller demo, but Facebook Marketplace is now also a primary second-hand hub—as YPulse has told you before—largely thanks to Gen Z. In general, 42% of teens are making money online and 32% view clothing resale as a sustainable way to earn a good income. (They’ve seen it work out for others on social media, after all.) This trend reflects teens’ role in the digital economy: they’re not just consumers anymore, but active participants. (Fashion United)
