Tinder’s annual “Year in Swipe” predicts intentionality from young daters in 2025. While headlines constantly remind us that young people are feeling “online dating fatigue” these days, Tinder finds they’re optimistic about the year ahead. (Though, they’re positive about their dating life in general, not just the role of apps in it.) For all Tinder users, the top used phrase in bios was “Looking for,” implying a not-here-to-play-games attitude in dating, and potentially a movement away from using the app solely for hookups. Tinder’s calling this “Loud looking,” a.k.a. announcing their intentions upfront, and it aligns with their other prediction of daters “streamlining their rosters,” or cutting down the quantity of their connections in favor of quality. And for 18-30-year-olds, vision boards for their dating lives are in—which Tinder has created a feature for users to make and manifest in the app. (Mashable)
