In France, Gen Z is less likely than Boomers to feel safe. France is facing an increase in crime, especially drug-related violence. And while one could think that older people would be more likely to feel unsafe, recent government figures show it’s actually young adults who feel the most at risk. The report shows that 28% of 18-24-year-olds feel insecure in their neighborhood, while 17% of 65-74-year-olds say so. Gen Z is also +22pts more likely than Boomers to feel unsafe in public transport (53% vs 31%) as well as slightly more likely to feel unsafe in their homes (15% vs 13%). (RMC)
