Gen Z is consuming more media daily than older gens. A recent study shows that Gen Z spends an average of nearly seven hours per day consuming content, whether social media, streaming, or other digital media. Notably, 40% of Gen Z report spending over five hours daily on scrolling and streaming. And though everything is focused on short-form these days, Gen Z is spending a significant portion of their day engaging with short-form and long-form content. However, the gen is also the most likely of any “to feel like they consumed too much media,” so those hours are not without recognition. (New York Post)
