Like on Instagram, users can now share music directly to TikTok. The new “Share to TikTok” feature in Apple Music and Spotify is part of the platforms aim to make music sharing seamless. Music has always been a crucial part of trends on TikTok: 67% of TikTok users seek out music they find on the app, whether it’s on the For You Page or through DMs. But Instagram and TikTok have long competed on being a top social media platform in music, with the former rolling out new Spotify integrations at just the end of the summer. So, TikTok is competing to enhance fan interaction and deepen its role in music discovery by streamlining the music sharing process across their feed, stories, or DMs. (Tech Crunch)
