Airbnb is launching the Co-Host Network, allowing hosts to hire local property managers. Like Fiverr or LinkedIn, this feature will showcase other nearby hosts to work with, and their reviews. On average, Airbnb hosts manage about seven properties, and many already hire a co-host to help alleviate the stress and responsibilities of managing multiple listings. Through the new service, they’ll be able to formally divide the earnings of a rental based on the divided hosting responsibilities. And as requirements for hosts have increased—turning Airbnb into a more professional career than a side hustle—the new network aims to help them earn income without the need for constant management, while still meeting all travelers’ expectations.
