European 18-year-olds can win a month-long free rail pass. The EU is constantly trying to create programs to encourage young Europeans to discover their region and meet people from other European countries—like Erasmus+. Now, the EU is launching the DiscoverEU initiative: 35.5K free rail passes offered to young people born in 2005 and 2006 to explore Europe for up to 30 days until September next year. But, to apply and show that they care about the region, candidates must answer a short online quiz about the European Union. On top of the free rail pass, the lucky winners will also receive discount cards for various services like transportation, accommodation, and dining which they can use when travelling. (Euronews)
