Gen Z is more attracted to environmentally friendly grocery options. Research from YouGov reveals that over half of Gen Z (18-27-years-old) expresses a preference for brands that emphasize lower environmental impacts and locally sourced options in their grocery shopping. And beyond that, 70% are willing to pay more for support brands aligned with these values. Despite the challenges posed by inflation, younger gens’ desire for transparent sustainability information remains strong. They increasingly express interest in shopping at stores that support the environment and are focused on making informed choices in their purchases. (The Produce News)
