“Beetlejuice lips” are the latest beauty trend sweeping TikTok. Similar to “zebra lips,” a term coined by Portuguese beauty creator Luara Reisinge, this look is totally viral, with over 40M views on the first video by beauty creator Adrianna Kalisz from just last week. Following Kalisz’s lead, creators use green paint on their lips, then scrunch them up and apply black eyeshadow on top. The result, when they flatten their lips back out, is a striking green and black crackled stripe that, as it promises, gives Beetlejuice vibes. Something unique emerging about the trend is that those with lip fillers won’t exactly be able to partake because of the natural creases it requires. As a potentially unexpected result, it’s striking up a conversation around fillers and Botox, and appreciating natural wrinkles and creases rather than wishing them away. (Mashable)
