Olympic athletes are taking advantage of the Paris dating (app) scene—well, not just athletes. Tinder and Bumble have both reported a rise in users and swiping activity that started in the beginning of July, specifically in Paris. TikTok users who are also on dating apps have been using Tinder’s Passport Mode to change their location to Paris, hoping to connect with Olympic athletes while they’re there. The topic of sex and relationships at the Olympics first gained attention after officials at the 2020 Tokyo Games enforced a “sex ban” shortly after COVID-19. But now, it appears the Olympics themselves are not encouraging it, but at least promoting athletes to be safe—the cardboard beds are definitely not helping though. (People)
