Gen Z activist David Hogg already raised more than $100K for Kamala Harris. After President Biden’s decision to exit the presidential race, 24-year-old activist David Hogg, a survivor of the 2018 Parkland shooting and founding member of March For Our Lives, has thrown his support behind Harris. As the leader of Leaders We Deserve, an organization backing young Democrats in state and federal elections, Hogg challenged his followers on X (over a million of them) to raise $100K for Harris’ campaign within an hour. Hogg and his followers quickly met the initial goal, but he continued to encourage donations, which surpassed $175K by Sunday evening. (NPR)
