More than one third of Gen Z and Millennials opted out of higher education. The decline in the perceived value of a college degree has led to a shift in the younger gen’s priorities. Many cite financial barriers, personal circumstances, and career goals that don’t require a degree as reasons for forgoing higher education. New survey data from Deloitte also reveals that over half of Gen Z and Millennials are living paycheck to paycheck, so paying tuition or loan bills is sometimes simply unrealistic.
