The popularity of sleep tourism has surged. A recent Gallup poll shows that a majority of adults in the U.S., especially women, feel that getting more sleep would improve their wellbeing. And sometimes that requires a vacation to make possible, so Skift Research found that most travelers are willing to pay more for accommodations or travel packages that prioritize sleep. A survey from Hilton also discovered that the main reason people of all ages are vacationing in 2024 is to “rest and recharge,” with sleep being a top priority. The travel sector focusing on sleep is leveraging the wellness industry’s success by emphasizing the latest research on quality sleep. (Skift)
