A Paralympian athlete is criticizing sports brands for not selling single shoes. Stef Reid, a British single-leg Paralympic athlete, made the headlines for asking Nike and other sports brands for not having single shoes for people like her in stores. To be fair, Nike does have such a scheme—the One Shoe Bank program—but only available for consumers in North America. For young Europeans, creating products and services that cater to a diverse range of consumers is the top action brands can take to reflect diversity and be inclusive, according to YPulse’s most recent WE Ad / Marketing Effectiveness report.
