France is introducing an ambitious anti-fast-fashion bill. French MPs just laid out a plan to curb ultra-fast fashion, making France the first country to legislate in such a way. Among the key measures included in the bills are a total advertising ban for fast fashion brands, a mandatory display of the environmental impact of the products, as well as a flat €5 tax on these items. Young people in Western Europe rely on their governments to tackle the environmental crisis. YPulse’s recent WE Sustainability reportshows 82% of them agree “My government needs to take more action to stop climate change.” (Les Echos)
