Gen Z is the most anxious about flying. Even though flying has been deemed the safest way to travel for quite some time now, Gen Z is the least likely to agree that it’s safer than others (though just over half do). Following headlines of major accidents, 43% of Americans reported that many recent travel incidents have caused this feeling. It’s not uncommon to feel anxious about air travel, as other gens feel the same way—though a good deal less on average: 59% of Americans say flying makes them feel nervous compared to 67% of Gen Z.
