French Gen Z aren’t drinking much wine. Studies reveal only 7% of wine production is consumed by 18-24-year-olds in France, while Boomers drink almost half of it. Data from YPulse’s most recent Nightlife and Drinking report also shows that fewer young French people are drinking wine compared to their European peers—despite France being the world’s biggest wine producer. Young Frenchies are considered a big part of the overall decrease in wine consumption in the country, a trend that’s similarly unraveling in North America. (20 minutes)
