Meta is testing a multimodal AI chatbot within its Ray Ban Stories sunglasses. Much like a smart speaker or digital assistant on a smartphone, the glasses will respond to “Hey Meta” and provide answers about what the wearer is seeing. The artificial intelligence system is capable of generating responses with ChatGPT-like capabilities and additional information from Bing. The new feature is a step towards the next stage of artificial reality interaction, reflecting Meta’s ongoing efforts in this domain. YPulse’s AI Unpacked trend report shows ChatGPT is one of the first things that comes to mind for young people when they think of AI, often because of how normal its integrations are now.
