A Spanish mom created a WhatsApp group to address the issue of smartphones in schools and it gained huge traction among other parents. Elisabet Garcia Permanyer, a mother of three, started connecting with friends on a WhatsApp group to share her worries about teenagers having smartphones in schools. In just a few weeks the group has over 10,000 parents connected and they’re now asking their local government to consider a complete ban on phones in secondary schools.
